Here at AVO, spring may be the busy season for all things fence, but we stay active all winter long, improving and updating our systems so you can receive the best service possible when the spring ‘slam’ begins.
The Convenience Myth
Big box home-improvement stores are often seen by consumers as the most convenient option for low-cost fence materials and supplies.
Many of the customers who come to us are shopping for fence for the very first time. We want to make sure their journey is as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
No matter how nice a fence looks, poor gate performance can frustrate any home or business owner.

From Furniture to Fence
Paul Brown’s journey to fence began in the classroom. He was teaching woodworking to special education students in Sudbury and one of their projects was crafting cedar wood furniture. When a neighbor asked Paul if he could repair their wood fence, he was happy to put his skills to work. It wasn’t long before he transitioned from his teaching job to start Sudbury Cedar, a company that combined his love of making furniture and his budding skills as a fence installer.
For natural beauty on a budget, wood fence can’t be beat. It remains a popular choice for cost-effective, earth-friendly fencing that will blend into virtually any environment.
